New Caledonian Giant Geckos

"Leachies"

Rhacodactylus Leachianus

Back to Home Page

Giant New Caledonian Geckos, or Leachies are the largest gecko species in the world.  There are several different localities currently being bred in the US, which have different colors, patterns, and adult size.  We are working with the "Isle E" locality.  Giant Geckos require similar care as other Rhacodactylus, although they need a much larger cage.  In addition to insects, fruit, and babyfood, these will also consume pinky or fuzzy mice.  They take at least 3 years to mature and can be kept in compatible pairs.

Isle E Locality:

An extremely limited number of offspring will be available in 2008.  Projected price is $350 each.

We hope to have babies from this locality available by 2009.
