Super Hypo Tangerine Carrottail Baldies
Genetics: Line- bred
Example Photos of our Hypos, Super Hypos, Tangerines, and Carrottails:
Hypos, Super Hypos, Tangerines, Baldies, and Carrottails are line-bred traits that have been refined since the 1990s. The ancestors of these were high yellow geckos that had a few less spots than most geckos. These were bred to each other, which produced some that were more brightly colored with less spotting. Eventually, tangerine showed up in this line as well. Over many generations, the body pattern and head pattern have been reduced or eliminated, while the coloration has become more tangerine. In addition, the carrottail gene has been introduced. Over several generations, the length of orange on the tail has been extended. Some of these have nearly 100% orange tails now. Albino forms, known as SUNGLOWS, have also been produced. These combine the different albino genes with all of the Super Hypo Tangerine Carrottail Traits.
